SEC Reporting Manager
Location: Bethel, CT
Compensation: $115,000–$150,000 + Bonus
We are partnering with a well-established organization in the Bethel, CT area that is looking to add an SEC Reporting Manager to its accounting team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong public accounting and/or corporate reporting background who wants to take ownership of SEC reporting while also getting involved in technical accounting, process improvement, and special projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own the quarterly and annual SEC reporting process, including financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, and XBRL requirements
- Utilize Workiva to prepare and manage external financial reporting
- Play a key role in the quarterly earnings process, preparing financial tables and partnering with Investor Relations on earnings releases, presentations, and supporting data
- Assist with the preparation, review, and filing of the annual Irish Modified GAAP report
- Partner with global business units and cross-functional teams to gather, validate, and review information used in external reporting
- Coordinate reporting reviews with internal management and external auditors
- Complete disclosure checklists and ensure SEC filings meet all reporting and compliance requirements
- Identify opportunities to automate and improve reporting processes and data collection
- Monitor new SEC, FASB, and regulatory guidance and work with technical accounting to evaluate and implement disclosure changes
- Support ESG reporting, benchmarking, research, and other special projects
- Maintain and enhance SOX documentation and controls related to the reporting function
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting
- 3–4+ years of public accounting experience or a combination of public and corporate accounting
- CPA or MBA highly preferred
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and SEC requirements
- Advanced Excel skills
- Workiva experience is a strong plus; Hyperion and/or SAP experience is also beneficial
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate complex accounting concepts clearly
- Track record of improving processes and creating efficiencies
- Excellent attention to detail
Compensation: $115,000–$150,000 base salary + bonus
