Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit accurate monthly and quarterly invoices to funders.
- Record grant revenue, indirect cost allocations, and cash receipts in Sage Intacct.
- Develop annual grant budgets and process budget modifications per funder guidelines.
- Process personnel reclassifications and maintain knowledge of salary structures.
- Monitor grant revenues, expenses, recoupments, and cash receipts for accuracy and timeliness.
- Review monthly expenses against approved budgets, identify variances, and escalate issues to the Assistant Controller.
- Prepare monthly budget‑to‑actual analyses and financial projections for grant programs.
- Ensure compliance with grant agreements, contract requirements, and funding regulations.
- Maintain complete financial records and supporting documentation for assigned grants.
- Follow up on outstanding invoices and grant payments.
- Support annual audits and grantor audits by preparing schedules, analyses, and documentation.
- Perform special projects and related duties as assigned.
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- Minimum five years of experience managing government or nonprofit grants.
- Experience working with agencies such as MOCJ, DYCD, DSS, OCA‑JCLS, DCJS, and HRA.
- Strong knowledge of grant compliance, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Experience with Sage Intacct or similar accounting systems preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
