Full job description
I'm currently recruiting for a rapidly expanding entertainment company that is seeking to hire a Senior Accountant with offices located in New York, NY. The team is building out a sports media entity that showcases some of the best and brightest talent across the NBA, NFL, etc. The team is seeking a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for assisting with the month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and assisting with special projects. This is a fantastic company that has big plans in 2027 and beyond.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the month-end close, overseeing all items on the balance sheet and income statement
- Assist with the preparation of the monthly financial statements
- Manage the GL, performing reconciliations and adjusting journal entries
- Review AP and T&E activity
- Review AR entries and contracts, ensuring compliance with ASC 606
- Assist with any process improvements across the group
- Create new workflows and processes through NetSuite to optimize efficiencies
- Assist with the annual audit and provide all supporting documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance
- Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP's, pivots)
- NetSuite and ASC 606 experience is highly desired
- 3+ years of experience
- Strong communication skills
- Analytical mindset and detail-oriented
