Senior Business Financial Analyst

A highly regarded global professional services organization is seeking a Senior Financial Business Analyst to join its growing Business Intelligence & Finance team. This is a direct-hire opportunity offering significant exposure to senior leadership, sophisticated financial analysis, data visualization, and emerging AI initiatives. The role can be based in the New York City, Washington, D.C., or Los Angeles markets and offers a highly flexible hybrid schedule, with approximately one day per week in the office and potential for additional remote flexibility.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze complex financial and business data to identify trends and deliver actionable insights
• Develop recurring and ad-hoc reporting around key business and financial KPIs
• Partner directly with senior leaders and key stakeholders to support strategic decision-making
• Translate large data sets into clear, compelling dashboards, visualizations, and executive-level presentations
• Build polished PowerPoint presentations that effectively communicate complex financial concepts
• Develop interactive dashboards and advanced reporting using Tableau, Power BI, and other BI tools
• Work cross-functionally with Finance, Business Intelligence, Marketing, HR, and other internal teams
• Support evolving technology and AI-driven initiatives designed to enhance reporting, analytics, and business intelligence

Ideal Background

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
• 4+ years of financial analysis, business analysis, FP&A, business intelligence, or similar experience
• Advanced Excel skills, including large data sets, formulas, pivot tables, data manipulation, and ideally macros
• Advanced PowerPoint skills with the ability to create polished, executive-level presentations
• Experience with Tableau and/or Power BI
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to confidently interact with senior leadership
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, organization, and attention to detail
• Experience within a law firm or other sophisticated professional services environment is highly preferred
• Big 4 experience is a strong plus
• Exposure to AI tools, including Claude or similar platforms, is a plus
