Senior Financial Analyst – Supply Chain & Commercial Finance
- Location: Mount Olive, NJ (Onsite)
- Target Base Salary: $100,000 – $120,000
About the role:
The Senior Financial Analyst will serve as a key business partner bridging supply chain operations and sales strategy at our Mount Olive headquarters. This high-impact role focuses on inventory financial modeling, global logistics/freight cost analytics, product margin optimization, and sales performance tracking to maximize bottom-line profitability across our product lines.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain & Inventory FP&A
- Partner closely with procurement, logistics, and warehouse operations to monitor and analyze gross margins, freight costs, importing expenses, and landing costs.
- Track inventory velocity, turnover, dynamic holding costs, and working capital trends to optimize stock levels and cash flow.
- Analyze cost of goods sold (COGS) variances, purchase order variances, and operational supply chain metrics to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Commercial & Sales Finance
- Track, model, and report on profitability across customer accounts, sales territories, product categories, and distribution channels.
- Partner with commercial leadership to support pricing strategies, rebate structures, contract modeling, and deal-margin analysis.
- Evaluate customer acquisition profitability and deliver monthly revenue/margin forecasting packages for commercial teams.
Financial Modeling & Systems
- Build and maintain flexible, dynamic quantitative models in Excel to simulate operational scenarios, logistics impact, and volume pricing changes.
- Maintain operational KPI dashboards and executive reporting decks highlighting margin trends and operational risks/opportunities.
- Collaborate with IT and finance leadership to refine data integrity, reporting workflows, and inventory tracking within ERP systems.
Qualifications
- Experience: 6-9 years of progressive FP&A or business analysis experience, with a heavy background in supply chain, inventory, global distribution, or commercial/sales finance.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a quantitative business field.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency (complex modeling, dynamic arrays, pivot tables) paired with hands-on ERP experience (SAP, NetSuite, Oracle) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Core Competencies: Strong analytical drive, high attention to detail, and the communication skills to translate operational logistics data into actionable insights for leadership.
