About the Role

GINYC is seeking a highly motivated, relationship-oriented Senior Manager of Institutional Partnerships to join our Development team and help advance the organization’s institutional fundraising. This role manages key aspects of corporate and foundation donor partnerships, with a focus on grants management and partner engagement through volunteer opportunities that connect our partners directly to our programs and mission.

Working across the organization to ensure GINYC delivers on its commitments, this role serves as a key link between funders and internal teams, building strong relationships that sustain long-term investment in our mission.

This is an excellent opportunity for a thoughtful, proactive development professional who enjoys both the strategic and highly detailed sides of fundraising, with the ability to participate in the full life cycle of institutional donor relationships—from prospecting and cultivation through solicitation and stewardship.

Working closely with the Associate Vice President of Development and Chief Development Officer, the Senior Manager of Institutional Partnerships will play an important role in achieving the organization’s $3.8 million institutional revenue goal through grants management, corporate volunteer engagement, and direct fundraising.

Responsibilities

● Oversee grant calendars and ensure all proposals, reports, agreements, and other deliverables are completed accurately and on time, in partnership with Finance and Programs teams.

● With the AVP of Development, support the development of high-quality grant proposals, letters of inquiry, reports, renewal requests, and other funder communications.

● In partnership with the Programs team, manage the full lifecycle of corporate volunteer engagement, including volunteer recruitment, participation, and follow-up for in-person and virtual engagement activities that support the organization’s programs and deepen partner engagement.

● Maintain accurate records of corporate engagement requirements, activity, and outcomes to support stewardship, reporting, and renewals.

● Support the Development team in planning and executing the annual Gala, including corporate sponsorship outreach and fulfillment, donor communications, guest management, and other event-related fundraising and logistics as needed.

● Represent the organization professionally and enthusiastically at external meetings, networking opportunities, corporate events, and other donor-facing engagements.

● Proactively conduct research to identify, qualify, and prioritize new institutional prospects aligned with the organization’s mission and programs.

● Manage a portfolio of corporate and foundation funders in partnership with the AVP of Development and CDO, including current and prospective partners; develop a strong understanding of their philanthropic priorities, business interests, and engagement opportunities in order to identify mutually beneficial partnerships.

● Support solicitation of institutional gifts at the five- and six-figure level, with increasing responsibility for donor communications and relationship management.

● Ensure donors receive timely, thoughtful, and highly personalized communications.

● Prepare briefing materials, meeting agendas, talking points, proposals, and other materials to support donor meetings and solicitations.

The ideal candidate is a confident, persuasive communicator and development professional who combines strong relationship-building skills with exceptional attention to detail and strong project management instincts. This person should be proactive and resourceful, comfortable taking initiative without extensive direction, and able to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of quality.

Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree required

● 4-6+ years of progressive work experience in nonprofit fundraising, strategic partnerships, or business development, with a demonstrated track record of securing and managing corporate, foundation and/or major donor partnerships with responsibility for revenue and growth goals

● Experience leading fundraising, renewal, sponsorship, or investment conversations with corporate partners; experience with corporate philanthropy or CSR partnerships is preferred

● Significant experience writing grant proposals, letters of inquiry, grant reports, and other institutional fundraising materials.

● Experience managing grant calendars, deadlines, deliverables, and reporting requirements.

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor communications to audiences ranging from program staff to senior corporate and foundation leaders.

● A proactive, self-starting approach to prospect research and outreach, with the ability to identify and pursue new opportunities in collaboration with the team.

● Strong organizational and project-management skills, including the ability to manage multiple deadlines, priorities, and relationships simultaneously.

● Comfort working collaboratively with senior development leadership and colleagues across the organization while also taking independent ownership of projects and relationships.

● Ability and willingness to work in person in our downtown NYC office at least two days per week, with occasional early evening events.

● Experience working with CRMs, with a strong commitment to accurate, complete, and well-maintained donor data; willingness to learn and use Virtuous if not already familiar with the platform.

Compensation & Benefits

● Salary: $80,000-$90,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

● 403(b) retirement plan
