Senior Production Manager

My client, a leading childrenswear company, is seeking an experienced Senior Production Manager to oversee global production operations and support a high-performing production team. Reporting to the VP of Production & Sourcing, this role is responsible for managing production across multiple factories, ensuring product quality, on-time delivery, and cost objectives are achieved.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of Colorists, Technical Designers, and Production Assistants.
• Oversee production of approximately 10,000 SKUs annually across multiple factories.
• Develop and maintain production timelines to ensure on-time delivery.
• Resolve production issues, shortages, and delivery delays.
• Negotiate pricing and collaborate with sourcing teams to optimize factory allocation.
• Maintain strong vendor relationships and ensure compliance requirements are up to date.
• Partner with Design teams to manage cost implications of product changes.
• Work closely with overseas QC teams to monitor factory performance and product quality.
• Manage and track Work-in-Progress (WIP) reports.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of apparel production experience, preferably in children’s wear.
• Prior experience managing production teams and vendor relationships.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with overseas factories and sourcing partners.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
