Pay Ranges: $50.00 - $60.00/hr
Senior Technical Sourcer – Systems Engineering
Our company is supporting an on-demand autonomous ride-hailing organization in hiring a Senior Technical Sourcer to expand its engineering talent pipeline and strengthen the recruiting team’s ability to meet evolving hiring needs.
The Senior Technical Sourcer will develop talent maps and sourcing strategies for a diverse range of systems and software engineering positions. This individual will have the independence and ownership to design pipeline-building strategies while partnering closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and senior engineering leaders.
The ideal candidate has extensive technical sourcing experience, strong knowledge of engineering talent markets, and the ability to evaluate candidates for technical aptitude, relevant experience, and behavioral fit. The successful candidate will be consultative, collaborative, and comfortable engaging highly sought-after technical professionals in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with recruiters, hiring managers, and engineering leaders to understand position requirements, technical qualifications, and hiring priorities.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for systems engineering, software engineering, and other specialized technical positions.
- Conduct talent-mapping and market-research activities to identify relevant companies, industries, skills, and candidate populations.
- Source candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, professional networks, internal databases, referrals, technical communities, and other sourcing channels.
- Review résumés and conduct initial candidate screenings.
- Evaluate candidates for technical aptitude, relevant experience, career motivation, communication skills, and behavioral fit.
- Build and maintain pipelines of qualified engineering talent based on current and anticipated workforce requirements.
- Develop compelling outreach campaigns that generate interest from passive candidates.
- Serve as a knowledgeable and professional ambassador for the organization and its mission.
- Maintain accurate candidate records, sourcing activity, pipeline data, and market intelligence within the applicant-tracking system.
- Monitor sourcing results and adjust strategies based on response rates, pipeline quality, and hiring priorities.
- Deliver consistent sourcing results while managing multiple technical positions in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Six to eight years of technical sourcing or recruiting experience.
- Demonstrated experience sourcing systems engineering, software engineering, or similarly specialized technical talent.
- Experience working in a recruiting agency, an internal corporate recruiting function, or both.
- Experience partnering directly with hiring managers and senior engineering leaders.
- Ability to understand complex technical requirements and evaluate candidates for technical and behavioral fit.
- Strong knowledge of technical talent markets, relevant engineering skills, and companies within the technology industry.
- Experience developing sourcing strategies, talent maps, candidate pipelines, and passive-candidate outreach campaigns.
- Strong consultative, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with candidates and stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple searches, and deliver results in a rapidly changing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience sourcing talent for autonomous vehicles, robotics, artificial intelligence, automotive technology, or mobility companies.
- Knowledge of systems engineering disciplines, including embedded systems, controls, robotics, perception, hardware-software integration, safety, or vehicle systems.
- Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, applicant-tracking systems, sourcing platforms, and talent-market research tools.
- Genuine interest in autonomous transportation and the organization’s mission.
