CTI (Cisalpina Tours International), Travel Management Company part of the MSC Group, is expanding its U.S. operation and is looking for an experienced Senior Travel Advisor to join our New York team.
This is an opportunity for a seasoned travel professional who enjoys working directly with clients, managing complex domestic and international corporate travel arrangements, and creating highly personalized leisure travel experiences, with a strong focus on Italy and Europe.
THE ROLE
As an important member of the CTI USA team, the Senior Travel Advisor will be responsible for delivering comprehensive, accurate and cost-effective travel services while providing a high level of personalized service and attention to each client's individual needs.
The successful candidate will be confident in managing complex travel arrangements independently, comfortable working with demanding or time-sensitive requests, and able to combine strong technical travel expertise with excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage domestic and international travel arrangements, including air reservations, ticketing, changes, exchanges, reissues and related services.
- Plan and coordinate hotels, car rentals, rail, transfers and other travel services, ensuring a high level of accuracy and cost-effective solutions.
- Prepare detailed and accurate travel proposals and recommendations tailored to the client's needs.
- Ensure compliance with applicable corporate travel policies when supporting business travel clients.
- Design and book individual & group customized leisure travel itineraries and packages worldwide, with a strong focus on Italy and Europe.
- Work collaboratively with the CTI US team and preferred suppliers while adhering to company procedures and participating in required training and meetings.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU
Our ideal candidate possesses:
- 5+ years of professional travel industry experience, preferably in a travel agency, TMC or high-touch leisure environment.
- Advanced GDS/CRS experience with Sabre required.
- Excellent client service and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and sound judgement.
- Proficiency in technology products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Docs
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and ability to manage multiple requests and priorities simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Proactive and resourceful, with a natural ability to identify solutions and resolve problems independently.
- Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced travel environment.
- Clear spoken and written English. Additional language skills, particularly Italian and Spanish, are a plus.
- A passion for being part of the travel industry and takes pride in delivering a highly personalized client experience.
- Strong travel industry expertise with excellent destination knowledge, particularly Italy and Europe.
- The understanding that successful travel advising is about more than making reservations, it is about listening to the client, anticipating their needs, finding solutions and delivering a seamless experience from start to finish.
