Job Description:

Role: FEA Simulation Engineer

Location: Peoria, IL (100% Onsite)

Employment Type: Fulltime Permanent with AXISCADES.

• Create and use Finite Element Analysis models either individually or in collaboration with supplier firms
• Log quality issues and arrange for corrections to models, collaborate with Lead Analyst as needed to communicate issues and resolution paths
• Perform model setup, submit jobs to high-performance computing cluster
• Perform simulations of static, modal, and dynamic systems containing cast and fabricated pieces, welds and bolted joints
• Develop understanding of design mechanical capacity for strength and fatigue
• Author reports containing assumptions, models and results
• Draw conclusions and make recommendations to design, simulation, and validation partners
• Contribute to and participate in peer reviews with senior staff and Lead Analyst to defend findings.
• Contribute to improvements in simulation methods and processes
