Site Quality Manager (SQF/FSSC)

We’re hiring Quality Managers for two manufacturing sites in Elgin and Huntley, Illinois where we've gone from Multi-Site to site ownership.

This is a hands-on quality leadership role for someone who knows manufacturing, understands converting operations, and is comfortable building and improving the quality function—not simply maintaining an existing system.

The ideal candidate will come from flexible packaging or a similar food safe environment with exposure to processes such as film, printing, laminating, slitting, converting, and/or metalizing.

What You’ll Own

• Lead and continuously improve the site quality function

• Build, strengthen, and standardize quality processes and systems

• Manage and develop two newer Quality Technicians

• Partner closely with Production, Scheduling, Operations, customers, and site leadership

• Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, CAPA/CARs, and nonconformance management

• Support internal, customer, and food-safety audits

• Manage document control, GMP compliance, quality KPIs, scrap, yield, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Serve as a key resource for customer quality concerns and issue resolution

Quality & Food Safety Experience

Candidates should have experience working within audited manufacturing quality systems such as:

• SQF

• FSSC 22000

• GMPs

• Internal and external audits

• CAPA / corrective action systems

• Root cause analysis and DMAIC methodologies

Huntley operates under SQF, so direct SQF experience or certification is especially valuable.

Elgin operates under FSSC 22000.

Who We’re Looking For

This role is best suited for a Quality Manager who is resourceful, hands-on, and comfortable solving problems directly on the manufacturing floor.

We’re looking for someone who can assess what is working, identify what needs to change, and build the processes, discipline, and team capability needed to elevate quality performance at the site.

This is not a pure delegation role.

Compensation

Target base salary: $80,000–$100,000

Bonus: 10%

Locations: Elgin, IL and Huntley, IL
