Staff Accountant

💼Position: Staff Accountant

📍Location: NYC 11101

💰Compensation: $65-75K DOE + generous bonus and benefit package

Hybrid Schedule 3 days in office, 2 days WFH

RemX is proud to represent our prestigious and growing client in Long Island City, NY in their search for a smart, and industrious Staff Accountant to join a growing team. As a Staff accountant, you will provide vital support to help streamline the company’s financial processes. Responsibilities

• Maintain General Ledger, record and document company financial transactions
• Journal Entries, assist with month, quarter and year-end close
• Perform bank reconciliations and balance financial records
• Keep updated budgets and oversee monthly payroll disbursements and invoices
• Prepare and present regular reports about company finances including budgets, debts, deficits, expenditures, and revenue
• Review data to ensure that proper procedures are being followed
• Identify and resolve financial discrepancies
• Utilize database management systems to maintain up-to-date record keeping of financial documents

Requirements

• BS in Accounting with minimum three (3) years’ Accounting experience
• Possess outstanding General Accounting skills
• Knowledge of all GAAP accounting standards
• Able to work within a team reaching deadlines with little to no supervision
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong critical thinking and mathematical reasoning skills
• Proficiency with Excel and ERP software required; Proficiency with NetSuite a plus
