Allegiance Group is partnered with a leading General Contractor specializing in high-end commercial interior projects across Manhattan. With an impressive portfolio of complex, design-led spaces and a strong pipeline of work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Superintendent to join their project delivery team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Superintendent with a strong commercial interiors background to take a leading role on high-profile Manhattan projects, working alongside an experienced Project Management team and a network of highly skilled subcontractors and trades.

As Superintendent, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day field operations of commercial interior projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule and to the required quality standards.

You will work closely with the Project Manager, subcontractors, architects, consultants and client representatives to coordinate all site activities and drive the project through to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing day-to-day site operations on commercial interior projects
• Coordinating and supervising subcontractors, trades and site personnel
• Managing project schedules and ensuring work progresses in line with key milestones
• Planning and coordinating site logistics, sequencing and manpower
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and project documents to identify potential issues before they impact the work
• Coordinating inspections and ensuring work complies with plans, specifications and applicable codes
• Monitoring workmanship and maintaining high standards of quality throughout the project
• Identifying and resolving field issues in coordination with the Project Manager and design team
• Leading daily coordination with subcontractors and maintaining clear communication across the site
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organized jobsite
• Tracking progress and providing regular updates to the Project Manager
• Assisting with project closeout, punch list completion and final turnover

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent within commercial construction
• Strong experience delivering commercial interior / fit-out projects
• Previous experience working for a General Contractor
• Experience managing multiple subcontractors and trades
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications and sequencing
• A strong understanding of site safety and quality control
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• The ability to anticipate problems and develop practical solutions
• Experience working on projects in Manhattan / New York City is highly desirable
