Superintendent - Multifamily/ Commercial

Title: Superintendent

Location: Chicago, IL

Compensation: Up to $150k + Benefits

Our client, a respected Chicago General Contractor, is looking for an experienced Superintendent to join its growing team.

The role will oversee a strong pipeline of commercial and multifamily projects across Chicago. Multifamily experience is preferred, but strong commercial experience will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on-site construction from mobilisation through closeout
• Manage subcontractors, field teams, site logistics, safety, quality, and schedules
• Coordinate with Project Managers, owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners
• Review drawings, specifications, sequencing, and potential project risks
• Run site meetings and monitor manpower, deliveries, inspections, and milestones
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to a high standard
• Manage RFIs, field documentation, punch lists, and closeout

Required Experience & Skills

• Proven Superintendent experience with a General Contractor
• Strong background delivering commercial construction projects
• Multifamily experience preferred but not essential
• Ground-up construction experience strongly preferred
• Strong subcontractor, scheduling, safety, and quality-control experience
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, P6, or similar software
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
