[ARTE MUSEUM]
ARTE MUSEUM is an immersive media art exhibition space presented by d'strict, acclaimed for creating the public media art 'WAVE' at COEX in Korea. Exhibits at ARTE MUSEUM center around the theme 'ETERNAL NATURE,' reinterpreting various elements and spaces in nature as immersive media art. The artworks, brought to life through the fusion of various digital media technologies and visual creativity, capture nature's eternal attributes and realistic presentation, allowing visitors to experience nature unconstrained by time and space.

Since its inception, ARTE MUSEUM has extended its reach to major cities around the globe, establishing itself as a popular exhibition with a cumulative total of five million visitors. [Position]
HR Talent Acquisition Specialist - d'strict Holdings & ARTE MUSEUM Los Angeles.
Location: Santa Monica, CA (onsite, 5 days/week at the SM museum)
Reports to: HR Director US
[Key Responsibilities]
Talent Acquisition (primary focus):
- Own full-cycle recruiting for U.S. roles – JD review, job posting, sourcing, interview coordination, offer negotiation, and background checks
- Once ARTE MUSEUM LA opens, this role will take on significantly expanded talent acquisition responsibility across the U.S. region, supporting hiring for Las Vegas, New York, and Los Angeles more US locations.
- Partner with hiring managers to build and manage hiring pipelines and onboard new hires into ADP.
HR Policy & Programs:
- Develop and maintain HR policies aligned with California and local ordinance requirements (other jurisdictions as the company grows)
- Track and implement new California employment legislation each year and update policies/practices accordingly
Onboarding / Offboarding:
- Manage E-Verify, payroll/HR system setup, new hire onboarding/offboarding support (separations, final pay compliance under CA Labor Code, benefits)
- Ensure final paycheck timing and content meet California requirements
Payroll & Benefits:
- Support bi-weekly payroll, PTO/401(k) administration, and benefits (open enrollment, invoice review) in AMLA.
Employee Data Management:
- Maintain master employee data and HR forms/records.
- Prepare California pay data reporting (SB 1162) and other state-mandated filings.
Performance & Compensation:
- Support promotion reviews, mid-year/year-end evaluations, and annual salary adjustments
Employee Relations & Compliance:
- Handle employee relations matters and grievances.
- Monitor wage-and-hour compliance, including meal/rest break rules, overtime, and reporting-time pay under the applicable IWC Wage Order
- Administer California leave programs, including CFRA, Paid Family Leave (PFL), State Disability Insurance (SDI), Pregnancy Disability Leave (PDL), and California Paid Sick Leave (Healthy Workplaces, Healthy Families Act)
- Ensure compliance with FEHA (harassment, discrimination, accommodation) and manage PAGA/wage-claim risk
- Maintain the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) and support Cal/OSHA compliance
Training:
- Facilitate new hire orientation and California-mandated training (SB 1343 sexual harassment prevention, IIPP safety training)
[Qualifications]
- 7+ years of HR experience (preferably retail/hospitality environment), with the ability to work independently
- Deep, current working knowledge of California employment law (FEHA, CFRA, PFL, SDI, PDL, CA Paid Sick Leave, IWC Wage Orders, PAGA, SB 1162 pay transparency, Cal/OSHA IIPP) and its practical, day-today application
- Demonstrated talent acquisition / full-cycle recruiting experience
- Able to work onsite 5 days/week at the Santa Monica office
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, problem solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse cultures and backgrounds
- Strong crisis-response and problem-solving skills
- Must be authorized to work in US.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
[Preferred]
• SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR-CA certification
• Experience supporting multi-location California operations alongside other U.S. states
This is a full-time Salary Exempt role. Compensation range $85,000 to $95,000
