Full job description

Ready to sharpen your tax expertise at a firm that's actually growing? Our client, a boutique, fast-growing CPA firm is looking for a Tax Associate to join their team and take ownership of a dynamic real estate client portfolio. If you love precision work, want real mentorship, and are ready to build serious technical range, this is the seat for you. The role is hybrid in West Hollywood.

What You'll Own

  • Tax Return Preparation: Prepare federal and state returns across individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts, with an eye for accuracy and full compliance.
  • Workpaper Preparation: Build clean, well-organized workpapers that support every tax position and hold up under review.
  • Client Support: Be a trusted point of contact for clients, gathering documentation and delivering answers (and deliverables) on time, every time.
  • Research & Analysis: Dig into tax issues, translate findings into clear guidance, and apply it to real client scenarios.
  • Compliance & Deadlines: Stay ahead of filing deadlines and extensions so nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner with senior staff and managers, soak up feedback, and keep expanding your technical toolkit across a broad range of tax matters.

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of tax experience, ideally in public accounting; Bachelor's in Accounting or related field required. CPA license (or active progress toward one) strongly preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills; experience with tax software like CCH Axcess is a plus.
  • A detail-obsessed, deadline-driven mindset — you can juggle multiple engagements without ever letting quality slip. You're collaborative, coachable, and hold your work to a high bar.
