Our client, a large, privately held multinational organization, is seeking a Director, Global Tax to play a key leadership role within its corporate tax function.


Reporting to the Vice President of Tax, this individual will help oversee the organization’s global tax position, including federal, state, international, and pass-through tax matters, tax planning, tax accounting, compliance, and audit management.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead domestic and international tax compliance and reporting
  • Manage federal and state income tax matters, including complex S-Corporation and pass-through partnership structures
  • Oversee global income tax provision, reserves, and return-to-provision reconciliation
  • Manage foreign tax credits, foreign earnings, repatriation planning, cross-border transactions, and related international tax matters
  • Review international tax filings, including Forms 5471, 8858, and 1118
  • Monitor U.S. and international tax developments and advise leadership on potential impact
  • Identify and implement tax planning strategies to improve the organization’s overall tax position
  • Manage federal, state, and international tax audits and related risk exposure
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors and internal business teams on complex tax matters
  • Support documentation related to cross-border transactions, tax incentives, foreign taxes paid, and book-to-tax differences
  • Provide guidance on indirect tax matters, including payroll, sales and use tax, property tax, and VAT
  • Support tax-related cash flow planning and distributions
  • Partner with the VP of Tax on department strategy, priorities, process improvements, and long-term planning
  • Lead, coach, and develop members of the tax team


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field
  • Significant progressive tax experience within a complex corporate and/or public accounting environment
  • Strong hands-on experience with federal and state income tax compliance and planning
  • Direct experience with S-Corporations and pass-through entities/partnerships
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and international taxation
  • Experience with global tax compliance, tax provision, foreign tax credits, repatriation, and cross-border transactions
  • Experience managing federal, state, and/or international tax audits
  • Proven ability to research complex tax matters and communicate recommendations to senior leadership
  • Demonstrated leadership and team development experience


Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA and/or advanced degree in Taxation
  • Experience within a large, privately held or closely held multinational organization
  • Manufacturing industry experience
  • Experience supporting complex ownership structures and stockholder tax matters


Must Haves: Federal and state tax experience, S-Corporation and pass-through partnership experience, and demonstrated leadership ability.
