Job Descriptions:
The Technical Accounting & SEC Reporting Manager plays a key independent technical and disclosure role, responsible for ensuring timely and compliant SEC reporting and robust technical accounting analysis. This position ensures that all financial statement disclosures align with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements, supporting audit processes and the implementation of new standards. The manager maintains independence from transactional accounting, contributing critical technical expertise and oversight to the financial reporting function.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and coordinate SEC filings, including Form 20-F, Form 6-K, Form S-8, and other registration statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.
- Manage financial statement disclosure tie-outs, supporting schedules, and related documentation.
- Coordinate internal and external reviews of SEC filings and resolve comments efficiently.
- Research and analyze complex accounting matters under U.S. GAAP and prepare technical accounting memos and position papers.
- Monitor new U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements and support timely implementation of related accounting and disclosure changes.
- Support external audits and other financial reporting matters involving technical accounting and disclosures.
- Partner with internal stakeholders on accounting implications of new transactions, agreements, and business activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in public accounting, technical accounting, and/or SEC reporting.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting and disclosure requirements.
- Hands-on experience preparing or reviewing SEC filings.
- Strong technical accounting research, writing, and documentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with a Big Four or other public accounting firm.
- Experience supporting GAAP conversions, complex transactions, or accounting policy implementation.
- Experience advising on accounting implications of new standards or significant transactions.
- Experience supporting external audits and financial statement disclosure reviews.
