100% remote opportunity for a professional who lives on the East Coast or in the Mid-West!!! Individual will underwrite new and renewal middle to large market GL accounts within assigned authority and guidelines. Evaluate operations, classifications, hazards, loss history, and exposures; determine pricing, limits, deductibles, and terms. Negotiate and communicate decisions with agents/brokers; provide timely, professional service
5 – 10 years of commercial underwriting experience. Contractor underwriting experience is preferred but not required. Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, and make decisions within authority. Strong knowledge of GL coverage, common forms/endorsements, and basic rating concepts. Balanced underwriting judgment focused on profitability and service. Strong analytical and decision-making skills. Clear written/verbal communication; effective negotiation. Detail-oriented with consistent documentation and follow-through. Relationship-focused partner to brokers and internal teams. Experience with Policy Administration systems. IMS experience is desirable but not required. Occasional travel may be required.
