Job Description

We are seeking Vehicle Testing Specialists to be responsible for daily testing activities for autonomous vehicle programs. In this role, you will execute test plans, support a wide range of testing functions, and report on testing outcomes to provide crucial information for software development teams.

This role requires significant travel. Depending on the assignment, some hires may travel globally for 4-6 months of the year, while others may travel for approximately two weeks at a time every few months.

Training Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (2-3 weeks)

Available Shifts (after training):

• Tuesday-Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM & Saturday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Monday-Thursday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM & Sunday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• (Weekend shifts will eventually extend to 10:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Execute test plans on AV and ADAS development vehicles.
• Coordinate and improve testing procedures together with software engineers and operations teams.
• Provide detailed notes and formal reports of testing activities and results.
• Work with vehicle operators to conduct testing professionally and efficiently.
• Champion safety in all vehicle testing programs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 2+ years of hardware or software testing, data entry, or similar technical experience.
• Experience with troubleshooting issues on computers or other hardware.
• Demonstrated attention to detail.
• Collaborative mindset and deep interest in understanding the functionality of autonomy software.
• Experience with autonomous vehicles or ADAS is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with software development practices.
• Experience with Linux.
• Experience with software tools such as Slack, Jira, Confluence, and Google Workspace.

Additional Information

• Heavy travel required. One candidate will travel globally 4-6 months per year. Two candidates will travel approximately 2 weeks at a time every few months.
