Build the Pipeline. Drive the Growth:
- $275,000–$300,000 base salary
- $250,000–$300,000 target incentive
- $525,000–$600,000 target total cash compensation
- Additional upside for revenue above $10M combined with strong gross-profit performance
- Senior-level position with significant ownership of California growth
- Opportunity to generate $10M+ in new and expanded annual revenue
- Help shape the company's California sales strategy and market presence
- Work directly with an experienced executive leadership team
- Regular travel throughout Southern California and the San Francisco Bay Area
What You'll Build:
Do you enjoy opening doors, developing strategic relationships, and turning major opportunities into long-term business?
- Build and grow the company's commercial market presence across Southern California and the San Francisco Bay Area
- Leverage your established relationships with major building developers, property management companies, REITs, commercial property owners, and other key decision-makers to create new business opportunities
- Identify and pursue high-value accounts capable of generating significant annual contract value, multi-property opportunities, and recurring revenue
- Own the full sales cycle from target identification and relationship development through proposals, negotiations, contract execution, account launch, and expansion
- Drive $10M+ in new and expanded annual revenue through large commercial contracts, recurring service agreements, capital projects, and strategic partnerships
- Develop and expand executive-level relationships with owners, asset managers, facilities executives, chief engineers, construction leaders, procurement teams, and other key decision-makers
- Pursue portfolio-wide and multi-property agreements that create long-term recurring revenue
- Lead complex negotiations involving pricing, scope, service levels, commercial terms, and contractual requirements
- Develop compelling proposals, presentations, account strategies, RFP responses, and other client-facing sales materials
- Build and maintain a disciplined sales pipeline with clear opportunities, next steps, close dates, and revenue forecasts
- Present pipeline activity, strategic accounts, major opportunities, and revenue forecasts to executive leadership
- Collaborate with operations, estimating, project management, finance, and leadership to ensure new business can be delivered successfully and profitably
What Keeps You Flowing:
- 10+ years of progressive business development, strategic sales, enterprise account, or commercial leadership experience
- Bring an established network of relevant industry contacts, with direct access to key boards and decision-makers who can provide early visibility into major California projects, including opportunities connected to the Olympics.
- An established network of relationships with major building developers, property management companies, large REITs, commercial property owners, and key decision-makers throughout Southern California and/or the San Francisco Bay Area
- A proven ability to leverage existing relationships to open doors and generate significant new business
- Proven success selling large, complex contracts to commercial real estate owners, property management organizations, developers, REITs, institutional facilities, or other sophisticated building operators
- Demonstrated success generating and closing high-value commercial opportunities
- Experience within commercial plumbing, mechanical services, facilities services, building systems, construction, maintenance, HVAC, electrical, fire/life safety, water management, or a related technical services industry
- Strong financial and commercial acumen including pricing, margins, proposal economics, pipeline management, and revenue forecasting
- Experience structuring and negotiating master service agreements, maintenance agreements, enterprise pricing arrangements, and large commercial contracts
- Strong executive-level communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to develop strategic account plans while remaining hands-on throughout the sales process
- Ability to travel regularly throughout California
Experience That Gives You an Edge:
- A demonstrated track record of turning established relationships with major California developers, property management organizations, REITs, and commercial building owners into significant revenue
- Experience selling into healthcare, hospitality, industrial, retail, mixed-use, or large commercial property portfolios
- Commercial plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, facilities services, construction, or other related technical services experience
- Experience securing multi-property, regional, or portfolio-wide service agreements
- Experience launching or scaling a new market, territory, regional sales organization, or operating footprint
- Knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, service contracting, maintenance, emergency response, tenant improvements, and capital projects
- Experience working within a private equity-backed organization with aggressive growth expectations
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, Marketing, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
