Volleyball Director – Centercourt Mt. Olive

Location: Mt. Olive, New Jersey Job Type: Full-Time

The Volleyball Director will lead all management, programming, and business development efforts for the Centercourt Volleyball business based out of Centercourt Mt. Olive in Mt. Olive, NJ. The facility features four brand-new, regulation-size volleyball courts and provides an ideal environment for year-round volleyball programming. The volleyball business will offer a comprehensive slate of programming, including but not limited to clinics, leagues, tournaments, events, camps, and player development programs. The Volleyball Director will be responsible for developing and executing a high-quality, year-round volleyball experience while building and managing a talented staff that delivers a strong on-court product across all areas of the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES / REQUIREMENTS

• Demonstrate a strong passion for volleyball and youth sports.
• Possess current or previous playing and/or coaching experience within the sport of volleyball.
• Maintain existing volleyball-specific relationships throughout the appropriate New Jersey regions, including athletes, coaches, clubs, schools, organizations, and other key stakeholders.
• Lead, coach, and direct year-round volleyball programming.
• Develop and maintain a high-quality player experience across all programs and offerings.
• Constantly demonstrate energy, enthusiasm, professionalism, and leadership while coaching and interacting with athletes and families.
• Create and execute an annual business lifecycle consisting of relevant volleyball offerings based on market needs, customer demand, and growth opportunities.
• Develop new programs, leagues, clinics, tournaments, camps, and events to maximize facility utilization and revenue.
• Recruit, hire, train, schedule, manage, and evaluate volleyball coaching staff.
• Assist in the development of marketing initiatives in partnership with the Centercourt Marketing Team.
• Build strong relationships with athletes, parents, coaches, schools, clubs, and community organizations.
• Lead sales and business development efforts, including outreach, relationship building, and program enrollment.
• Monitor program performance, customer feedback, registration trends, and financial results.
• Ensure all programs operate safely, professionally, and in accordance with Centercourt standards.
• Be available and willing to work afternoons, evenings, weekends, and select holidays based on programming and event schedules.
• Generate reports and organize accurate business and program data using Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams, and other applicable technology.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify and capitalize on new business and programming opportunities.
• 5+ years of volleyball experience, including coaching and/or playing experience.
• Experience working within youth volleyball, club volleyball, high school volleyball, collegiate volleyball, or a related sports environment.
• Strong understanding of volleyball player development and coaching principles.
• Experience hiring, training, scheduling, and managing staff.
• Existing relationships within the New Jersey volleyball community strongly preferred.
• Sales and business development experience, including cold calling, email outreach, networking, and in-person relationship building.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information to athletes, parents, staff, and business partners.
• Strong leadership and team-management skills.
• Superior customer service skills.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Microsoft Teams.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with different personalities.

Centercourt Mt. Olive is a premier youth sports facility located in Mt. Olive, New Jersey, serving athletes and families throughout Northern and Central New Jersey. The facility's new volleyball space features four regulation-size volleyball courts, creating a state-of-the-art home for year-round volleyball training, leagues, events, tournaments, and player development.
