About the Opportunity
A well-established organization is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee day-to-day warehouse and distribution operations within a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This individual will be responsible for leading warehouse personnel, maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating inbound and outbound activities, and ensuring operational and safety standards are consistently met.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who is comfortable managing a team, working directly on the warehouse floor, and supporting an operation that requires flexibility outside of traditional business hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily receiving, storage, inventory, shipping, and distribution activities.
- Lead, coach, and develop warehouse supervisors, leads, and operational staff.
- Ensure inbound and outbound inventory is processed accurately and according to schedule.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and oversee cycle counts, inventory audits, and replenishment.
- Ensure proper inventory rotation and storage procedures are followed.
- Coordinate shipping schedules, transportation activities, and outbound deliveries.
- Ensure shipping, receiving, and transportation documentation is completed accurately.
- Monitor warehouse KPIs and identify opportunities to improve productivity, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Partner with operations and other departments to ensure materials and products are available when needed.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant warehouse environment.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and establish effective warehouse procedures.
- Support employee training, performance management, and workforce development.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse management or distribution leadership experience required.
- Experience managing supervisors, leads, and/or warehouse associates.
- Strong knowledge of receiving, shipping, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
- Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and make effective operational decisions.
- Experience tracking warehouse KPIs and operational performance.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and warehouse technology.
- Forklift knowledge or experience preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs, including occasional evenings and weekends.
