Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end close, and external audit coordination within a manufacturing environment.

This is a hands-on opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a lean organization, taking ownership, solving problems, and ensuring accurate and timely financial information. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in maintaining strong accounting practices and internal controls while supporting the business with reliable financial reporting and analysis.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, adaptable, detail-oriented, and resourceful, with the ability to manage changing priorities and meet deadlines in an environment where processes may be manual and flexibility is essential.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and other accounting documentation.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
  • Analyze financial results, identify trends, and explain significant variances.
  • Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Lead the annual external audit process, including preparation of audit schedules, supporting documentation, and deliverables.
  • Maintain, strengthen, and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
  • Support accounting activities related to inventory, fixed assets, accruals, and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Assist with ad hoc accounting and finance projects as needed.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to provide timely financial information and support business objectives.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of public accounting experience, with audit experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong experience with financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and month-end close.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating an annual external audit.
  • CPA preferred.
  • SAP or other ERP system experience preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $115,000–$135,000 annually, plus bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

Hybrid Schedule with two days remote
