Must possess strong analytical, research and writing skills; be a self-starter with a commitment to providing superior service to clients, producing high-quality work product, and maintaining a teamwork atmosphere.
Must be eligible to practice law in California and reside in Southern California, although the position allows for the flexibility of a hybrid workspace.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Westlaw to support case preparation.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents with precision and attention to detail.
- Negotiate settlements and represent clients in court hearings and trials.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and prepare for litigation.
- Manage case files, ensuring all documentation is organized and up-to-date.
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates on case progress and address any concerns.
- Stay informed about changes in laws relevant to practice areas.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction (California).
- Strong knowledge of civil litigation processes and procedures.
- 7+ years of experience: Labor & Employment Practice Group
- Proficient in legal research tools such as Westlaw.
- Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
