Workplace Experience Construction Manager

Location: Rancho Cordova, CA – Onsite 5 days/week

Experience: 10–12+ years commercial construction project management

Education: Bachelor’s in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management, or related field

Role Summary:

Seeking a Workplace Experience Construction Manager to independently lead large-scale workplace construction, renovation, tenant improvement, lab, and infrastructure projects from concept through completion/occupancy.

Key Responsibilities

• Prioritize candidates with significant experience managing large construction projects from start to finish.
• Lead the complete bidding process with subcontractors/general contractors, including bid evaluations and contractor selection.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and change orders.
• Manage General Contractors and subcontractors, ensuring project milestones and deadlines are met.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Oversee workplace renovations, tenant improvements, labs, infrastructure upgrades, and corporate buildouts.
• Conduct site walks and inspections while ensuring safety, building codes, permitting, ADA, and compliance.
• Track project budgets, invoices, capital expenditures, and financial reporting.
• Manage project closeout, punch lists, warranties, and lessons learned.

Required Qualifications

• 10–12+ years of commercial construction project management experience
• Strong experience managing large construction projects end-to-end
• Proven experience with subcontractor bidding, project scheduling, scope management, budgeting, and contractor management
• Experience with workplace/corporate office, lab, industrial, technology, manufacturing, or semiconductor construction
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills

Preferred / Big Plus

• AutoCAD experience is a BIG PLUS
• PMP, CCM, or LEED certification
• Bluebeam, Smartsheet, MS Project, Box, or similar project management tools
• Experience in technology, manufacturing, semiconductor, or corporate campus environments
• Workplace strategy and occupancy planning experience

Ideal Candidate:

A hands-on Construction Project Manager with proven experience taking large construction projects from bidding through completion, including subcontractor bidding, scheduling, scope, budget, contractor management, and site execution. AutoCAD experience is highly preferred.
