Location: Albany, NY
Work Arrangement: Hybrid — 2 days in office
Experience: 4+ years
Compensation: $150,000–$250,000 DOE
Billable Hours: 1,750 annual target
Position Overview:
A well-established law firm in Albany, NY is seeking an experienced Corporate Transactional Attorney to join its corporate practice. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with strong M&A experience who also has experience handling broader corporate and transactional matters.
The firm handles transactions ranging from approximately $5 million to several hundred million dollars, and candidates with experience across this spectrum are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions from due diligence through closing.
- Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, merger agreements, operating agreements, shareholder agreements, and other transaction documents.
- Work on sophisticated transactions involving provider consolidations, vertical integration between healthcare providers and health plans, and health plan mergers.
- Manage multiple transactions and client matters while meeting applicable deadlines and billable-hour expectations.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the New York Bar and in good standing.
- 4+ years of corporate/transactional legal experience.
- Meaningful M&A transactional experience.
- Experience with buy-side and/or sell-side transactions.
- Experience handling general corporate and transactional matters in addition to M&A.
- Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred but not required.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 – $250,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
