About the Job
Our client is an established luxury home and lifestyle brand known for exceptional craftsmanship, quality, and design.
The Director of Content will lead content strategy, editorial planning, and brand storytelling across digital, social, e-commerce, advertising, and B2B channels. Reporting to the Head of Brand, this person will develop seasonal content strategies and ensure a consistent, elevated brand voice across every customer touchpoint.
This is an ideal opportunity for a strong writer and editor who understands luxury consumers and can balance strategic thinking with hands-on content development and execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead the overall content and editorial strategy across digital, social, e-commerce, advertising, email, and B2B channels
- Develop annual and seasonal editorial calendars aligned with brand priorities, campaigns, and product launches
- Create and oversee compelling product, brand, educational, and seasonal storytelling
- Manage organic social media content and strategy across key platforms
- Serve as the steward of the brand voice across all written communications
- Manage internal and external writers, freelancers, and creative resources
- Develop content supporting consumers, interior designers, retailers, hospitality partners, and the trade
- Partner with Creative, Merchandising, E-commerce, Product Development, Sales, and PR teams
- Identify photography, video, and other creative asset needs to support editorial initiatives
- Oversee a Marketing Coordinator supporting content and marketing execution
- Ensure content is delivered accurately, consistently, and on schedule
Requirements
- 7–10 years of content, editorial, or brand storytelling experience within luxury, premium consumer brands, or luxury editorial
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills
- Experience developing content across digital, print, social, email, and e-commerce channels
- Strong experience writing elevated product and brand copy
- Demonstrated ability to develop multi-channel content strategies and editorial calendars
- Experience managing and developing at least one direct report
- Experience managing freelance writers and external creative partners
- Familiarity with CMS, email marketing, social scheduling, and digital asset management platforms
- Strong cross-functional project management and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Creative Writing, Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred
