Content Strategy Lead

ROEN

New York, NY

Filed under Retail Luxury Goods And Jewelry

Full job description

ROEN is a New York–based fine jewelry house rooted in master craftsmanship and considered design. We create pieces made to honor life's most meaningful moments — and we're entering our next phase: building a media presence with the same intention we bring to the work itself.

We're looking for a Content Strategy Lead (part-time) to help shape it. This isn't a role to run our existing social calendar — it's to help define what ROEN's media becomes. It's a producer-first role, and a hands-on one: you're as comfortable editing a clip or posting it yourself as you are directing a shoot or shaping a season of content.

What You'll Own

  • Defining the content pillars that differentiate ROEN — documentary-style commission stories, sourcing/craftsmanship transparency, and our design philosophy — across long-form and short-form
  • Concepting and producing recurring series and one-off features across formats
  • Scripting and structuring episodes, working directly with the founders and atelier team
  • Directing and managing freelance videographers/editors on shoot days
  • Building and maintaining the content calendar in coordination with our Social Media Specialist
  • Ensuring footage does double duty — reworking commission and process content into ad creative for paid campaigns, not producing separately for each
  • Defining and tracking how content moves people toward a booking or inquiry, not just views — partnering on the Content → Lead → Appointment → Commission tracking
  • Supporting retail expansion content (trunk shows, market-entry storytelling) as that rolls out
  • Occasional involvement in campaign concepts, launches, and broader brand storytelling initiatives

Who You Are

  • Experience producing branded content, documentary-style series, or founder-led video — luxury or craft-based brands strongly preferred
  • Strong storytelling instincts; you know how to find the narrative in a process, not just film it
  • Comfortable directing shoots and freelancers with minimal oversight
  • A sharp, editorial eye — you understand restraint and know when something feels overproduced or off-brand
  • Independent and reliable on a part-time or project basis; not looking to build a large team under you
  • Based in or able to work regularly in New York City
  • Bonus: experience with fine jewelry, luxury goods, or bridal-adjacent content; comfortable around high-value product on set
