The Bowerman Group is partnering with an emerging fine jewelry brand to identify a Boutique Director, VIP & Partnerships for its first U.S. boutique in SoHo.

This role will serve as the senior leader on the ground in New York, with responsibility for boutique sales, VIP client development, local partnerships, and the day-to-day leadership of a growing U.S. retail presence. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of the New York luxury market, an established network, and the ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy.

Key Objective

Lead the launch and ongoing business of the New York boutique while developing a strong portfolio of VIP clients, driving sales, and building strategic relationships that support the brand's growth in the U.S. market.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Boutique Leadership & Sales: Take ownership of the SoHo boutique, drive sales against established goals, oversee the customer experience, and lead the day-to-day business in partnership with an Operations & Fulfillment Coordinator.
  • VIP Client Development: Build and manage relationships with VIP and high-value clients through personalized appointments, client outreach, special orders, follow-up, networking, and repeat-business initiatives.
  • Partnerships & Business Development: Develop relationships with luxury retailers, department stores, stylists, personal shoppers, hospitality partners, buyers, and other relevant contacts. Identify future Shop-in-Shop opportunities and represent the brand at events, trunk shows, networking opportunities, and activations.

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in luxury retail, sales, or business development, ideally within fine jewelry, watches, fashion, or another premium category, with a demonstrated record of driving sales.
  • Strong knowledge of the New York luxury market, including experience developing VIP/high-value clientele and an established network of relevant relationships.
  • Entrepreneurial and hands-on leadership style, with strong relationship-building, communication, negotiation, and business-development skills and the ability to work autonomously.
