Full job description

Our Mission

At Palo Alto Networks® everything starts and ends with our mission: Being the cybersecurity partner of choice, protecting our digital way of life. Our vision is a world where each day is safer and more secure than the one before. We are a company built on the foundation of challenging and disrupting the way things are done, and we’re looking for innovators who are as committed to shaping the future of cybersecurity as we are.

Our Approach to Work

We lead with personalization and choice in all of our people programs. We have disrupted the traditional view that all employees have the same needs and wants. We offer our employees the opportunity to choose what works best for them as often as possible - from your wellbeing support to your growth and development, and beyond!

At Palo Alto Networks, we believe in the power of collaboration and value in-person interactions. This is why our employees generally work from the office with some flexibility offered where needed. This setup fosters casual conversations, problem-solving, and trusted relationships. While details may evolve, our goal is to create an environment where innovation thrives, with office-based teams coming together three days a week to collaborate on the industry’s best cybersecurity solutions together!

Your Career

The Early Talent team at Palo Alto Networks is dedicated to identifying and nurturing the next generation of talent through our intern and new college graduate programs. We develop strategic on-campus recruiting initiatives to attract top-tier early talent and provide engaging, impactful programs once they are onboarded.

We are excited to expand our team with an Early Talent Specialist! In this unique "utility player" role, you will serve as the ultimate single point of contact (POC) bridging the gap between talent attraction, university relationship building, and operational execution. Unlike a traditional full-time recruiter, you will not carry a heavy, high-volume requisition load. Instead, your impact is distributed symmetrically across the entire early talent lifecycle: you will manage a focused, select candidate portfolio while simultaneously driving our campus partner ecosystem and supporting large-scale operational program execution. This role is fast-paced, detail-oriented, and incredibly rewarding.

Your Impact

Campus Relations & Employer Branding

  • Orchestrate the development of a sustainable, long-term talent ecosystem by serving as the primary POC for key external partnerships including targeted and non-targeted universities, career centers, specialized professional conferences, and diversity-focused non-profit organizations.
  • Inclusion Collaboration: Partner with our internal Inclusion & Employee Engagement team to align on external talent partnerships/sponsorships, ensuring our open opportunities reach a broad and varied audience of student applicants across all targeted networks.
  • Design and execute data-driven, innovative campus engagement strategies, career fairs, and interactive workshops that increase brand awareness and position Palo Alto Networks as an employer of choice.
  • Travel to targeted universities and attend major conferences/recruiting events across the U.S. to anchor our brand presence, averaging about 10%.

Early Talent Operations & Lifecycle Logistics

  • Event Coordination & Management: Own the full logistical lifecycle for all campus attraction events, including career fairs, info sessions, tech talks, and executive speaker panels. This includes booking venues, managing virtual event platforms, organizing marketing collateral, and shipping materials.
  • Pre- & Post-Event Strategy Alignment: Lead pre-event prep calls with attending business reps and internal volunteers to brief them on candidate profiles, specific targets, and event goals. Drive post-event debrief calls to collect pipeline feedback, review metrics, and map out immediate candidate follow-up.
  • Interview Scheduling & Pipelines: Manage high-volume interview coordination and scheduling logistics for event-driven talent loops, partnering closely with specialists and coordinators to ensure a frictionless experience.
  • Programs Partnership & Product Alignment: Partner closely with Product teams and the Early Talent Programs team as the primary Early Talent Recruiting POC to ensure hiring targets, product support needs, candidate profiles, and onboarding logistics are perfectly synchronized with large-scale cohort launch dates and specific training curricula to help guarantee a smooth transition.
  • Operations Leadership Alignment: Work in close alignment with the Operations Lead from Network Security (NetSec) to standardize operational processes, ensure head-count precision, and optimize business unit hiring workflows.
  • Process Optimization & Funnel Health: Continuously evaluate and refine recruiting workflows, analyze pipeline metrics, and monitor funnel health for business-critical pipelines to proactively remove operational bottlenecks, thereby improving candidate experience and reducing time-to-hire across our largest programs

Targeted Recruiting Support

  • Manage a focused, select candidate portfolio through the full-cycle recruiting process, including sourcing, screening, interview management, maintaining candidate relationships, creating and extending offers, and closing candidates.
  • Manager Allocation & Business Engagement: Oversee manager allocation across business teams to ensure intern and new grad requisitions are evenly distributed and aligned with leadership priorities.
  • Demonstrate high-touch candidate management and exceptional care by selling our long-term career trajectory and culture, managing offer negotiations, and maintaining tight engagement during the long lead time between offer acceptance and start date.
  • Collaborate closely with hiring managers and business leaders across units (such as Product, GTM, and Unit 42) to advise them on interview workflows and fulfill early-in-career hiring goals through a transparent and inclusive strategy.
  • Connect with coordinators on a weekly basis to ensure operational interview processes and workflows are running seamlessly.

Your Experience

  • Bring: 5+ years of experience launching and scaling initiatives, ideally with a background rooted in Early Talent or program-focused roles.
  • Proactive operational background with experience managing end-to-end logistics for recruiting events, career fairs, or large-scale university campaigns.
  • Strong client focus with a proactive approach to networking and establishing effective relationships with customers, candidates, business stakeholders, and schools.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the capability to implement complex recruiting strategies, including diversity sourcing and structured interview process management.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional, accountable, high-energy, and a collaborative team player capable of working independently.

Our People team at Palo Alto Networks works throughout the organization to enable...you guessed it, people. We’re one team – driven to one mission statement. Each piece matters, and within the people team, you are focused on enabling our teams to resolve the world’s most challenging cybersecurity threats. You will be part of a growing, passionate, and dynamic team with an opportunity to work on challenging and exciting projects – centered on what we believe is one of the most significant mission statements in the world. We’re trailblazers that dream big, take risks, and challenge cybersecurity’s status quo. It’s simple: we can’t accomplish our mission without diverse teams innovating, together.
