Full job description
eDiscovery Project Manager
You'll run multiple discovery matters end to end, acting as the client's primary point of contact from collection through to production. This is a global eDiscovery service provider, working with outside counsel, in-house legal teams and IT stakeholders on matters of varying size and complexity, with delivery resourced across global teams.
The seat sits under the Project Director team and is as consultative as it is operational. You'll advise on collections, processing, review workflows, analytics and production deliverables, own the schedules and the budgets, and mentor junior project managers alongside your own caseload. There is a client-facing commercial element too, including sales presentations, quarterly business reviews and account-level meetings.
The Essentials:
- West Coast based working PST hours, reporting into the Project Director team
- Hands-on in Relativity, managing clients directly throughout disclosure
- You will manage several concurrent matters at once, not a single account
Responsibilities of an eDiscovery Project Manager:
- Provide end-to-end oversight of multiple discovery matters and act as the primary client point of contact.
- Advise clients on data collections, processing, review workflows, analytics, and production and export deliverables.
- Build and maintain project schedules and reporting, defining activities, sequencing, dependencies, work effort, duration and resource requirements.
- Forecast, track and manage project budgets, and issue reporting metrics and KPIs on a regular cadence across every matter.
- Define and monitor quality standards on all project deliverables, and manage internal and external project communications.
- Mentor and delegate to junior members of the portfolio team, and support business development activity with existing and new clients.
Requirements of an eDiscovery Project Manager:
Essential:
- At least 3 years in eDiscovery or litigation support, with at least 1 year as a project manager
- 3 years hands-on with Relativity or an equivalent eDiscovery platform.
- A track record managing multiple concurrent projects with cross-functional teams, to budget and to schedule.
- Experience coordinating project work and resources with global teams.
- Experience managing project teams, including teams of supporting project managers.
Benefits and compensation:
$110,000 to $130,000
- Medical, dental and vision insurance
- 401(k), and whether there is an employer match
- Life and disability insurance
- Annual bonus eligibility, historically 10%
- Parental leave
- Employee assistance program
- Progression route from PM to Senior PM or Project Director
