Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with strong expertise in hardware design, mixed-signal electronics, high-speed PCB design, power architecture, and board-level debugging. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience taking complex electronic designs from architecture and schematic development through PCB design, bring-up, validation, and production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mixed-signal analog and digital hardware.
  • Develop high-speed PCB designs involving DDR3/DDR4, PCIe, and QSPI interfaces with strict impedance-control requirements.
  • Design complex power-tree architectures, including DC-DC buck/boost regulators, LDOs, and power sequencing.
  • Architect systems using ARM Cortex-M, RISC-V processors, microcontrollers, and FPGAs.
  • Analyze and resolve signal integrity, power integrity, noise, crosstalk, and EMI/EMC issues.
  • Work with communication protocols including I2C, SPI, UART, RS485, CAN, USB, and Ethernet.
  • Perform hands-on hardware validation and debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, VNAs, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Perform component-level troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, component derating, and thermal-management analysis.
  • Develop schematics and PCB designs using enterprise-level EDA tools, preferably Xpedition.
  • Lead design reviews and provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior and mid-level engineers.
  • Collaborate closely with firmware, software, mechanical, and cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Support architectural trade-off analysis, component selection, project planning, and technical decision-making.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant Electrical/Hardware Design experience.
  • Strong experience in mixed-signal analog and digital design.
  • Hands-on experience with high-speed PCB design, including DDR3/DDR4, PCIe, and QSPI.
  • Strong knowledge of DC-DC converters, LDOs, power trees, and power sequencing.
  • Experience with FPGA, ARM, and/or RISC-V-based systems.
  • Strong understanding of signal integrity and EMI/EMC.
  • Experience with I2C, SPI, UART, RS485, CAN, USB, and Ethernet.
  • Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, VNAs, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Strong schematic development and PCB design experience.
  • Experience with Xpedition or comparable enterprise PCB/EDA tools.
  • Strong hardware troubleshooting and board-level debugging skills.
  • Experience leading technical design reviews and mentoring engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, medical device, semiconductor, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Experience with board bring-up and hardware validation.
  • Knowledge of thermal management and component derating.
  • Experience with FCC, CE, automotive, or aerospace compliance requirements.
  • Experience with DDR5, PCIe Gen4+, or power-integrity analysis.
  • FPGA board bring-up experience.
  • Experience with Altium or Cadence Allegro.
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

What We Are Looking For

Strong candidates should demonstrate hands-on experience in:

Hardware Design | Mixed-Signal Design | High-Speed PCB | DDR3/DDR4 | PCIe | QSPI | Power Architecture | DC-DC | LDO | FPGA | ARM | RISC-V | Signal Integrity | EMI/EMC | Board Bring-Up | Hardware Validation | Lab Debugging | Schematic Design | PCB Design | Xpedition

Education & Experience
