Project Executive / Senior Project Manager

We are working with a well-established electrical contractor that is looking to add an experienced Project Executive / Senior Project Manager to its team in Los Angeles.

The business has a strong track record of delivering large-scale, technically complex electrical projects across mission-critical, healthcare, aviation and commercial markets.

This is a senior-level opportunity for someone with a strong electrical contracting background who has successfully led major projects and teams. The position offers significant project responsibility, exposure to high-value work and the opportunity to play an important role within the company's Southern California operations.

The Role

As Project Executive / Senior Project Manager, you will take a leadership role in the delivery of major electrical construction projects, with responsibility for project performance from pre-construction and handover through execution and final completion.

You will work between the company's Commerce office and project sites throughout the Los Angeles area, providing both commercial and operational leadership to project teams.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading the delivery of large-scale and complex electrical construction projects
• Taking overall ownership of project budgets, forecasting, cost control and profitability
• Providing leadership and direction to Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers and project teams
• Developing and maintaining project schedules and ensuring key milestones are achieved
• Working closely with field leadership and superintendents to drive successful project execution
• Managing client, general contractor, owner and key stakeholder relationships
• Overseeing procurement, subcontractors, vendors and major equipment packages
• Managing change orders, RFIs, submittals and overall project controls
• Identifying commercial, technical and scheduling risks and developing strategies to mitigate them
• Partnering with estimating and pre-construction teams during project pursuit, planning and handover
• Leading project meetings and providing accurate reporting to senior leadership
• Driving accountability across project teams while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and execution
• Supporting the development and mentoring of project management personnel
• Ensuring successful commissioning, closeout and final project delivery

What They Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will be an experienced electrical construction leader who has previously managed major commercial projects and is comfortable taking ownership of both project performance and project teams.

You should ideally have:

• A strong electrical contracting background – required
• Previous experience at Senior Project Manager, Project Executive or equivalent level
• Experience delivering commercial projects valued at $60M+
• Previous management and team leadership experience
• Strong understanding of electrical construction, project delivery and field operations
• Excellent knowledge of project financials, forecasting, cost control, scheduling and change management
• Experience managing relationships with owners, general contractors, subcontractors and other senior project stakeholders
• The ability to lead multiple project functions and make commercially sound decisions
• Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills

Experience delivering data centers, mission-critical facilities, hospitals or airport/aviation projects is strongly preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

The company is offering a highly competitive package for the right individual:

Base Salary: $200,000+, depending on experience

Bonus: Eligibility for both project-based and annual bonuses

Signing Bonus: Available

Relocation Package: Available for candidates relocating to the Los Angeles area
