Financial Controller

Robert Half is partnering with a well-established, multi-entity organization to hire a Financial Controller. This highly visible role will oversee accounting operations across multiple business units, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and effective management of day-to-day accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes for multiple entities.
• Oversee financial reporting, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity.
• Manage and develop accounting staff while providing hands-on leadership and support.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Partner with ownership and operational leadership to provide financial analysis and business insights.
• Drive process improvements and identify opportunities to increase efficiency across the accounting function.
• Support audit, tax, cash management, and budgeting activities as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Progressive accounting experience with prior leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
• Experience in a multi-entity environment strongly preferred. Manufacturing, distribution, construction, dealerships, or similarly complex environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, and operational accounting.
• Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on involvement in daily accounting activities.
• CPA and/or public accounting experience is a plus.
