Full job description
Founding Deployment Strategist – Industrial AI
Location: San Francisco
Salary: $160,000–$250,000 + meaningful equity
Working model: Five days per week in the office
*Must have hands-on experience deploying technical AI or data solutions into industrial, manufacturing or other physical operational environments.
We are representing an early-stage AI company building technology for some of the world’s most operationally complex businesses.
The company is hiring a Founding Deployment Strategist to work alongside its founders and establish how customers discover, deploy and scale the platform. This is an opportunity to join at the formative stage, influence the product and help build the deployment function from the ground up.
You will operate at the intersection of enterprise strategy, operational transformation, product development and commercial growth. The role requires someone who can earn credibility with senior executives while working closely with technical teams and frontline operators.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead customer discovery and identify operational problems where AI can deliver measurable value.
- Own deployments from initial diagnosis and solution design through implementation, adoption and expansion.
- Work directly with founders, product and engineering to translate field requirements into product priorities.
- Navigate complex enterprise organisations and align executives, technical stakeholders and operational users.
- Define success metrics and demonstrate tangible commercial or operational outcomes.
- Develop the playbooks, processes and standards for a new deployment organisation.
- Identify follow-on use cases and help convert successful deployments into long-term customer growth.
We are looking for candidates with:
- Approximately 3–8 years of experience in management consulting, deployment strategy, enterprise transformation or a similar customer-facing role.
- A strong preference for experience from a leading strategy consultancy, Palantir or another demanding enterprise technology environment.
- Evidence of owning complex engagements rather than contributing to only one part of the process.
- Exceptional problem-solving, executive communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong commercial instincts and exposure to expansion, renewals, pilot conversion or account growth.
- Experience working with industrial, manufacturing, supply-chain, logistics or similarly operational customers.
- The appetite to join an early-stage company where responsibilities will extend beyond a conventional job description.
This would particularly suit someone who wants to move from advising organisations to taking direct ownership of implementing technology and delivering measurable results.
Candidates must already have unrestricted US work authorisation. Visa sponsorship and transfers are not available.
