Full job description

HR Generalist / HR Operations Specialist

Location: Irvine, CA

Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days onsite, Tuesday–Thursday

Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire

Experience: 3–5 years

Start Date: ASAP

Green Key is partnering with an established organization in Irvine, CA, to identify an HR Generalist / HR Operations professional to join their team.

While the title is HR Generalist, this position is heavily focused on HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, onboarding/offboarding, process improvement, and employee development. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and process-driven but also genuinely enjoy working with people.

This is a great opportunity for someone who likes to stay busy, take ownership, and look beyond simply completing a task. We're looking for someone who naturally asks "why?" and looks for ways to improve processes rather than approaching HR as purely transactional.

The position is structured as temp-to-hire, with the expectation of conversion within the first three months for a strong performer.

Talent Acquisition

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned positions.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.

  • Conduct candidate screening and coordinate interviews.
  • Support background checks, offer preparation, and other pre-employment processes.
  • Recruiting volume will vary based on organizational hiring needs.

  • Employee Development & Performance
  • Support the employee performance review process.
  • Help ensure career paths and employee development opportunities are clearly mapped out.
  • Coordinate training and development initiatives.
  • Support programs designed to improve employee engagement, development, and retention.

Employee Experience & Culture

  • Serve as an HR resource and brand ambassador for the organization.
  • Help communicate company programs, policies, culture, and values to employees.
  • Explain and promote company benefits to new hires.
  • Provide a high level of customer service to employees and managers.
  • Partner with leadership to support a positive, collaborative, and high-performing workplace culture.

What We're Looking For

  • 3–5 years of HR experience, preferably with a strong HR Operations and Talent Acquisition background.
  • Workday proficiency is required.
