Interim Treasury Manager

A biotech client of ours in Chicago, IL is seeking an Interim Treasury Manager to join their team (Hybrid role: 4 days in office). Corporate Treasury role for 2 - 3 months.

GENERAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS:

• Manage and improve visibility into the company’s bank account structure, including approximately 50 bank accounts
• Assess existing accounts and identify opportunities to consolidate, streamline, or close unnecessary accounts.
• Manage the opening, maintenance, and closure of bank accounts, ensuring appropriate documentation, approvals, signatories, and regulatory requirements are completed.
• Partner with Treasury, Accounting, Legal, Tax, banking partners, and business stakeholders to transition accounts toward centralized Treasury control.
• Establish stronger processes, controls, and documentation around bank account management.
• Drive process improvement initiatives and implement account-level changes as needed.
• Provide structure and coordination around projects, including timelines, stakeholders, action items,
• Finance or Accounting Degree
• Foreign exchange / banking experience
• Banking relationship management and bank reconciliations
• Need to understand operations of treasury and banking
• Strong communications and interpersonal skills
• Proven track record of learning and adapting quickly to treasury system
