Full job description
40+ year old, 30-person professional services firm. Report to CFO directly (he loves to teach)
General Accountant role with a strong Accounts Payable focus, reporting to the CFO.
Process vendor invoices, approvals, coding, and weekly/bi-weekly payments.
Maintain vendor records, W-9s, 1099s, and reconcile vendor statements.
Prepare journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and bank/balance-sheet reconciliations.
Support month-end/year-end close, audits, tax filings, and compliance.
Assist with financial schedules and exhibits related to NAIC insurance filings.
Requires 2+ years of AP or general accounting experience; Associate’s/Bachelor’s preferred.
Strong Excel/Microsoft Office skills and knowledge of GAAP and internal controls required.
Ideal candidate is professional, organized, articulate, detail-oriented, discreet, and eager to learn; insurance experience is helpful but not required.
Fully onsite M–F, 8–5 or 8:30–5:30 with a one-hour lunch; salary starting at 60K + discretionary bonus, full PTO/holidays.
