Litigation Legal Secretary

San Francisco, CA Office

Salary: $100K - $130K

Hybrid Schedule


Job Summary:

An internationally recognized and award-winning law firm is seeking a highly experienced Legal Secretary to join its San Francisco office, supporting a team of attorneys in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.


What You’ll Do:

  • Draft, format, and proofread legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence
  • Manage state and federal court filings, including e-filing procedures
  • Open new matters, run conflict checks, and prepare engagement letters
  • Create and maintain Tables of Contents and Tables of Authorities (TOC/TOA)
  • Assist with billing functions, including time entry and proforma edits
  • Organize and maintain electronic and physical files within the firm’s document management system
  • Coordinate depositions, court appearances, travel, and meetings
  • Liaise with court reporters, vendors, and internal departments
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys


What You Bring:

  • 5+ years of legal secretarial experience (litigation strongly preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years supporting a billing attorney
  • Strong experience with state and federal e-filing (required)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting
  • Typing speed of 60+ WPM with high accuracy
