Addison Group is partnering with a growing manufacturing company. This position will be an important part of the company's logistics, customer order management, and day-to-day supply chain operations.
Job Description:
Our client is looking for a Bilingual Logistics Specialist to help manage daily logistics activities, customer orders, and supply chain coordination. This candidate will be responsible for managing orders throughout the entire process, from order entry and transportation arrangements to purchase orders and communication with customers, vendors, carriers, and warehouse personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee customer orders from entry through shipment and delivery, ensuring orders are accurate and completed on schedule.
- Manage transportation logistics by communicating with carriers, obtaining freight quotes, arranging pickups, and scheduling delivery appointments.
- Work directly with retail, wholesale, and foodservice customers to provide updates on orders, product availability, shipping information, and expected delivery dates.
- Handle EDI transactions, customer portals, invoices, Bills of Lading, and other necessary shipping and order documentation.
- Track orders and take initiative to address shortages, delays, backorders, and transportation-related problems.
- Prepare and maintain purchase orders while communicating with suppliers about production timelines, inventory levels, and expected deliveries.
- Organize inbound freight from manufacturing facilities to distribution centers.
- Help maintain accurate inventory records by entering receipts, verifying paperwork, and matching purchase orders against receiving documentation.
- Provide support for international freight, including air and ocean shipments as well as required export paperwork.
- Coordinate local pickups and assist with fleet and transportation-related activities.
- Prepare refrigerated product samples and coordinate their delivery to customers.
- Keep detailed records and provide administrative and operational assistance to management and other departments.
Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, or order coordination.
- Fluent in both Spanish and English required.
- Familiarity with EDI platforms, Microsoft Excel, and QuickBooks is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers, carriers, and internal departments.
- Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-moving work environment.
