Payroll Manager

We have an urgent W2 opening for a Payroll Manager (Workday) with our client for a contracting role.

Title- Payroll Manager (Workday & CPP) - Locals or Relocation

Location- Los Angeles, CA /Hybrid 3 days onsite 2 days remote

Fulltime - Permanent

Note-

Workday is mandatory not just exposure. Candidate must have hands-on experience processing payroll directly in Workday and troubleshooting payroll issues within the system.

Employment structure: Manager may select either a direct-hire candidate

Interview proce ss: 3 rounds.

When screening candidates, I would not recommend anyone whose Workday experience is limited to reporting, HRIS support, implementation, or general familiarity. They need documented payroll-processing experience in Workday.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of relevant payroll experience

Expert knowledge of US payroll regulations, tax laws and compliance

Excellent organizational skills and time management skills with a high level of attention to detail

Solution driven, ability to troubleshoot and provide new ideas for change as appropriate

Ability to work on complex problems of diverse scope and with general instruction on new assignments

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to partner with internal and external teams

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field

Experience with Workday strongly preferred

CPP Certification strongly preferred

ADP Smart Compliance experience
