Are you outgoing, motivated, and energized by connecting with people? Are you interested in building a career that combines recruiting, sales, healthcare, and relationship management?

Winston Staffing is seeking a Recruiting Associate to join our growing Travel Healthcare division. This opportunity is ideal for recent college graduates, early-career professionals, or individuals looking to transition into recruiting or healthcare staffing.

Previous travel healthcare experience is not required. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, the confidence to start conversations, and the motivation to learn, grow, and build momentum.

About Winston

Winston Resources, LLC, is a comprehensive staffing organization that helps employers meet a wide range of workforce needs. Backed by specialized divisions serving multiple industries and professional disciplines, Winston provides clients with a streamlined, single-source staffing solution. For job seekers and healthcare professionals, our organization offers access to diverse career opportunities supported by experienced recruiting, compliance, payroll, and account management teams.

Winston has built its reputation by developing long-term partnerships with both clients and candidates. Our Travel Healthcare division continues that approach by connecting nurses and allied health professionals with assignments that align with their experience, goals, and preferences.

About the Opportunity

As a Recruiting Associate, you will learn how to identify, engage, qualify, and place travel healthcare professionals in assignments across the country.

You will support the full recruitment process, from the first conversation through submission, interview, offer, placement, and future redeployment. Along the way, you will develop valuable experience in recruiting, sales, negotiation, candidate management, and healthcare staffing.

This is a relationship-focused and performance-driven role. Your success will come from building trust, communicating consistently, understanding each clinician’s priorities, and helping candidates identify the right opportunities.

This position will be based at our corporate headquarters in New York City. Applicants must live within commuting distance and be available to work in person on designated office days.

What You’ll Do

  • Source and attract travel nurses and allied healthcare professionals
  • Connect with candidates through phone calls, text messages, email, job boards, social media, and referrals
  • Review resumes and applications to identify qualified clinicians
  • Conduct initial screening calls to assess experience, skills, availability, and assignment preferences
  • Present travel opportunities that align with each candidate’s qualifications and goals
  • Explain assignment details, compensation packages, schedules, and travel expectations
  • Prepare candidates for client interviews and guide them through the offer process
  • Coordinate candidate submissions with account management and client-facing teams
  • Maintain regular communication throughout recruitment, credentialing, onboarding, and assignment
  • Manage candidate expectations regarding timelines, compensation, logistics, and compliance requirements
  • Update candidate records, activities, and opportunities within the applicant tracking system and CRM
  • Build talent pipelines for current and future staffing needs
  • Develop relationships that lead to referrals, extensions, and repeat assignments
  • Collaborate with recruiting, account management, compliance, payroll, and leadership teams
  • Help create a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle

You May Be a Great Fit If You Are

  • Comfortable starting conversations and building relationships with new people
  • Motivated by goals, professional growth, and earning potential
  • Confident communicating by phone, text, and email
  • Organized and able to manage multiple candidates and priorities
  • Curious, coachable, and willing to apply feedback
  • Self-motivated and comfortable taking initiative
  • Professional, dependable, responsive, and detail-oriented
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Interested in recruiting, sales, healthcare, staffing, or business development
  • Excited to learn a specialized industry and build a long-term career

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Psychology, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
  • Equivalent experience in sales, customer service, hospitality, retail, staffing, or another relationship-driven environment will be considered
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to conduct professional candidate screening conversations
  • Strong organization, time management, and follow-through
  • Comfort learning applicant tracking systems, CRM platforms, job boards, and recruiting technology
  • Ability to manage multiple open positions and candidate conversations simultaneously
  • Interest in travel healthcare staffing
