Child and Family Agency (CFA) seeks a full-time Registered Nurse to work 2nd shift and Per Diem Registered Nurses to work 1st shift and 2nd shift to be an integral part of the care team for the Urgent Crisis Center (UCC) at CFA. The UCC is a free-standing behavioral health crisis stabilization program designed to triage, stabilize, and assess youth who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis, and then link the youth/family to an appropriate level of care within the community. This is a fast-paced environment that operates Monday-Friday 8am-10pm and Saturday 10am-6pm.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Triage clients for appropriateness for Urgent Care Crisis Services
• Initial medical assessment of Urgent Crisis Center clients
• Support mental health clinicians with crisis stabilization and de-escalation
• Support day to day operations of the services program procedures collaboratively with the Program Manager and Director of the UCC
• Collaborate with UCC Team to identify and respond to client and family needs
• Provide quantitative and qualitative documentation of sessions and summary documentation in Electronic Medical Record database within Agency-specified timeframes.
• Positively collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team including medical, psychiatric and behavioral health professionals
• Actively participate in supervision and team meetings
Minimum qualifications:
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred
• Unencumbered Connecticut RN license
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification, current
