The Job


The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in supporting the organization through accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and data-driven financial analysis. This position requires extensive expertise in inventory management and cost accounting, combined with solid technical accounting knowledge to ensure operational efficiency, financial accuracy, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing inventory valuation, cost controls, budgeting, and financial reporting within a fast-paced environment. This role is best suited for a proactive professional who is passionate about continuous process improvement and contributing to organizational success.


Key Responsibilities


  • Maintain, reconcile, and analyze general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Lead and support all aspects of inventory accounting and cost accounting, including inventory valuation, standard costing, variance analysis, and cost control initiatives.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly cost reports, cost forecasts, budgets, financial analyses, and cost audits.
  • Monitor and review actual costs versus budgets and forecasts, identifying key variances and providing actionable insights to management.
  • Collaborate closely with operations and business partners to support sales and operations planning through accurate financial and inventory analysis.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reporting packages, including Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow Statements, and management reports.
  • Perform detailed cost accounting analysis and ensure accurate allocation of expenses and inventory-related transactions.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve accounting workflows, reporting accuracy, and internal controls.
  • Support the implementation, enhancement, and optimization of accounting systems and software upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.


Qualifications


  • 7+ of years of related work experience required and with manufacturing environment business experience
  • Strong background in Inventory Management and Cost Accounting is highly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of technical accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems/ERP platforms
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related discipline
