Senior Accountant

OSITION PURPOSE:

Seeking a highly motivated and self-starter Senior Accountant to join our Finance Team in Chicago, close to Midway Airport. The applicant will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial data, preparation of monthly financial statements. The applicant should display a positive and proactive attitude, have strong organizational and communication skills, possess the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and works well in a team environment. Having JDE/JDE Edwards experience is highly desired.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

• Prepares monthly Journal Entries.
• Maintains Fixed Asset Ledger.
• Assist in the completion of Month End and Year End Close.
• Complete Account Reconciliations.
• Participate in the annual audit.
• Administer daily banking activity.
• ACH and Wire Transfers for vendors and customers.
• Complete requests for third-party information.
• Maintains financial security by maintaining internal controls.
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the Controller.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 3-7 years’ experience with proven work experience as an Accountant.

• SKILLS/ABILITIES: Organized, accurate and attentive to detail. Managing processes, reporting, research, and results coordination.
