Founded in 2005, Keadjian Associates, a leading communications and management consulting firm in the San Francisco Bay Area, is seeking a full-time bookkeeper to begin work immediately in the Bay Area. Preference will be given to candidates who have managed accounting at a high-growth, small business.


Our team is based out of our headquarters in Walnut Creek, California and works Pacific time zone hours. As the new hire will be assisting with company operations, this position requires working five days a week from the firm’s headquarters.

Responsibilities:

  • Record transactions in QuickBooks and maintain up-to-date general ledger, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, journal entries from payroll reports, reconcile statements and more
  • Ensure the accurate, complete, and timely generation of invoices using QuickBooks and Excel and the preparation of monthly forecasts against contracts
  • Prepare special financial/contracting reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends; assist with development of contract budgets
  • Review and record employee reimbursements, PTO activity and benefit contributions (HSA, retirement, etc.)
  • Maintain confidence and protect operations by keeping financial, employee and client information confidential
  • Introduce new approaches and reporting templates to monitor the financial health of the company, escalate issues and present solutions
  • Jump on high-priority accounting, finance and operational projects for the CEO, COO and senior leadership team
  • Regularly exercise independent discretion and excellent judgment


Qualifications:

  • 3-5 or more years of experience (or equivalent expertise and education) in accounting
  • Bachelor’s degree required (degree in Finance, Accounting or Business strongly preferred)
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel; proficiency in Outlook and PowerPoint required; experience with BigTime and PowerBI is a plus
  • Experience with financial reporting requirements and multi-state payroll and employment compliance requirements
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to appropriately escalate issues and drive resolution
  • Adaptable working style – fit to work with many stakeholders and oversee multiple projects with different requirements while maintaining high accuracy and error-free work


Compensation: This position offers a base salary range of $70,000 to $95,000, which equates to an hourly rate of approximately $34 to $45 based on a standard 40-hour workweek. In addition, the company provides industry-leading benefits such as end-of-year profit sharing and a performance bonus program for eligible employees. While we anticipate that the successful candidate hired in this role will be placed near the entry or midpoint of the salary range, starting salary will be determined based on various factors, including years of experience, relevant type of experience, education and more.


Additional Benefits and Compensation: Keadjian Associates offers a discretionary bonus program for eligible team members, with bonuses awarded based on performance and contributions at the Company’s sole discretion. Additionally, eligible team members can participate in the Company’s 401(k) Program, with employer-matched contributions. The Company pays 100% of premiums for medical, dental and vision benefits for team members and 30% of spouse/dependent coverage, with buy-up options available.
