Reports To: Accounting Manager
A global manufacturing company with North American headquarters in Southern California is partnering with us to hire a hands-on Finance & Accounting Manager to support its next phase of growth, including U.S. IPO readiness.
Company Overview
We have been exclusively retained to recruit a Senior Accountant for an established global manufacturer specializing in LED-based solutions for the automotive, roadway, area lighting, and traffic signal industries. The company operates in the United States and Asia and combines engineering, manufacturing, and technology to deliver high-quality, energy-efficient products worldwide.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing Finance and Accounting team and play an important role in the company’s IPO readiness and continued growth.
Position Summary
The Senior Accountant will support financial reporting, accounting operations, internal controls, and pre-IPO preparation. This position will work closely with the Accounting Manager, senior leadership, external auditors, and international teams.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in U.S. GAAP and prior experience working for a publicly traded company or supporting an organization through an IPO or pre-IPO process.
Key Responsibilities
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, account reconciliations, and management reports
- Assist with consolidated financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and corporate reporting requirements
- Support IPO readiness initiatives, including documentation, audit preparation, and process improvements
- Assist with the development, implementation, and testing of SOX-compliant internal controls
- Coordinate with external auditors and prepare supporting schedules and documentation
- Assist with intercompany transactions and reconciliations involving international subsidiaries
- Support cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, standard costing, BOM analysis, and variance review
- Help maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal control documentation
- Support SAP ERP process improvements and help ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data
- Perform additional accounting projects and analyses as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- At least 8 years of progressive accounting experience
- Previous experience working for a publicly traded company or supporting an IPO or pre-IPO organization
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and international teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls
- Experience using SAP ERP
- Background in financial consolidation and multinational accounting
- Cost accounting or manufacturing accounting experience
- Experience in electronics, automotive, or a related manufacturing environment
- CPA or CMA certification
- Professional proficiency in Mandarin
- Spanish language skills
