Addison Group is partnering with a publicly traded organization to identify a Senior Accounting Manager to join its corporate accounting team.

Location: Hybrid work schedule near Des Plaines, IL (Onsite Tuesday–Thursday; Remote Monday & Friday)


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead the month-end close and financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Oversee journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement analysis
  • Navigate and manage a complex chart of accounts within a large ERP environment
  • Drive process improvements and standardization across multiple business units
  • Act as a change agent, helping implement structure and discipline across the organization
  • Develop and implement standardized workflows and best practices
  • Partner cross-functionally to support business initiatives and improve financial processes
  • Lead internal and external audit processes, including issue identification and remediation
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and SOX requirements
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiency


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; advanced degree (MBA or Master’s in Accounting) preferred
  • CPA required
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leadership responsibilities
  • Public accounting experience required
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge (US GAAP)
  • Experience with cost accounting and revenue recognition preferred
  • Proven leadership and team development capabilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across functions


Compensation & Benefits


  • Base salary: $160,000 – $170,000
  • Performance-based bonus
