Addison Group is partnering with a publicly traded organization to identify a Senior Accounting Manager to join its corporate accounting team.

Location: Hybrid work schedule near Des Plaines, IL (Onsite Tuesday–Thursday; Remote Monday & Friday)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the month-end close and financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Oversee journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement analysis
- Navigate and manage a complex chart of accounts within a large ERP environment
- Drive process improvements and standardization across multiple business units
- Act as a change agent, helping implement structure and discipline across the organization
- Develop and implement standardized workflows and best practices
- Partner cross-functionally to support business initiatives and improve financial processes
- Lead internal and external audit processes, including issue identification and remediation
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and SOX requirements
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiency
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; advanced degree (MBA or Master’s in Accounting) preferred
- CPA required
- 6+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leadership responsibilities
- Public accounting experience required
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (US GAAP)
- Experience with cost accounting and revenue recognition preferred
- Proven leadership and team development capabilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across functions
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $160,000 – $170,000
- Performance-based bonus
