INTERIM SENIOR ACCOUNTING MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with Accounting leadership to oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and review journal entries and adjustments.
- Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, providing accurate and timely reporting to management and stakeholders.
- Develop and implement internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise the accounts payable process, including invoice processing, payments, and vendor management.
- Supervise the accounts receivable function, including invoicing, collections, and credit management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and sales, to ensure accurate financial information and support business initiatives.
- Work closely with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation is highly desirable.
- Proven experience (7+ years) in accounting, preferably in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Prior experience working within the apparel industry.
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in SAP in addition to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and communicate financial information clearly and concisely.
